The 3 cast aluminum mounting bases included will fit actual post sizes of 2 x 2, 2.5 x 2.5, and 3 x 3 posts. Each mounting base is about 1/32" larger, and has a compressed-fit application. The mounting base on the fixture out of the box is the 2x2 mounting base, twist to the left to remove. NOTE: It is very important to put only the mounting base on your post FIRST, since you will need to push it onto the post with a good amount of pressure, and you never want to put that much pressure on the top solar panel. Once the mounting base is securely on the post, install the fixture onto the mounting base by setting it on at an angle and twisting it to the right.
